Engineers week is taking place from the 29th of February until the 6th of March. Now in its 14th year , the idea of the week is to promote engineering as a possible career choice and showcase its importance in today’s world. Engineers, schools and companies around Ireland come together to host events and talks to spark the interest of children and show them what a future in engineering can mean. There is a misconception surrounding engineers and what they do, and this week allows us to show the many varieties of engineers and the impact they have on the world.

Encouraging future engineers is something we love to get involved in here at Premium Power so when the opportunity to get involved in this campaign came about we couldn’t resist.

On the 10th of February we will be visiting St. Patrick’s senior school in Skerries, Co. Dublin to speak with the 4th, 5th and 6th class students all about engineering. We hope to showcase the different types of engineers, explain their impact on everyday things and encourage the students to choose STEM subjects when they enter into secondary school. With loads of activities planned to spark their interest and encourage creativity we hope it will be a really fun day for all involved.

Our team of engineers are always happy to showcase their expertise and get more people involved so if you would like us to come and speak to your students about their future career in engineering please feel free to get in contact.
