POWER QUALITY SURVEY

Is your site experiencing an increase in power quality issues and system failure, or just in need of a routine system health check? Conducting an in-depth power quality survey can provide a great insight into what is happening in your electrical network and why these issues are occuring.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

If you are noticing power quality issues in your electrical network the first port of call is to provides us with your single line diagrams (SLDS) and a detailed description of the issues you are experiencing. Our experts will analyse these and propose locations they feel will benefit from monitoring. Once locations are agreed, our engineers will come to site and temporarily install intelligent power quality meters in your electrical network and begin gathering data.

While on site we will check for the presence of any harmonic filters, power factor correction units, UPS etc. and take into account the effect their presence might have on the data.

Over a period of 1-2 weeks the meters will collect a wide range of data, after which we will come and disconnect them and extract the data. The data is analysed in accordance with the relevant standards and a report is written detailing our findings and proposed solutions if required.
