We looked at all aspected of system reliabilty from validating design decisions and recomending optimisations to power quality assesments to identifying critical communications infrastructure dependencies.
Electrical reliability is paramount for our client’s product production. Any electrical disturbances can result in product quality issues which in turn can carry significant economic consequences. The client identified a need to avail of considered expertise that would guide them in improving their electrical infrastructure, through finding the gaps in the current system and making recommendations to solve any problems. The scope of the project was also expanded to include communications and control as well as productions systems.
The initial on-site survey revealed that due to the site structure and electrical design, data gathering for this job would be extensive and involve a number of third parties e.g. designers, installers and equipment manufacturers . Once this element of the project was completed, our engineers undertook an in-depth gap analysis. Premium Power prepared a report of on the issues found together with the solutions required to avoid the possible consequences of leaving these gaps unaddressed.
This was a company that invested hugely in their site over the last number of years. Premium Power were called in In order to ensure that the end result met the companies business needs for uptime. Following our in-depth data gathering a complete model of the entire system is now in place. This coupled with addressing the issues raised resulted in a substantially more reliant and robust electrical power system which is capable of delivering production of the client’s product to the quality standards needed and prevent incidents of downtime happening.
