Awareness of arc flash growing as large turnout at Cork event

Premium Power held its sought after arc flash and electrical safety seminar in Cork today, with a large turnout from the many pharmaceutical and hi-tech manufacturing industries located in the Cork and surrounding regions.

The event offers an overview of the most up to date legal requirements in electrical safety, information on risk assessments, safety procedures and maintenance and seminars on arc flash, arc flash hazards and arc flash mitigation.

Leading the seminar, Premium Power Electrical Projects Lead Engineer Andrew hogan said knowledge and interest in arc flash and electrical safety is growing as shown by the large turn out at the event.

“We are seeing a better awareness of arc flash and the hazards it presents. Events like these help educate those most at risk of arc flash hazards and those who have the power, such as health and safety officers and maintenance managers, to introduce risk assessments into their own workplaces.”
