Throughout the year, the team at Premium Power shared insights, launched new innovations, engaged with industry and community partners, and strengthened our commitment to developing the next generation of engineering talent.

Here is a round-up of the key themes, milestones, and activities that defined our year.

Power system resilience has remained a central priority for our clients this year. We explored how early Capacity Planning helps organisations prepare for growth while avoiding bottlenecks and costly downtime. Engaging specialists at the design stage continues to be a crucial step in future-proofing electrical infrastructure.
We also highlighted how businesses can move closer to Energy Independence through intelligent microgrid integration, leveraging existing assets like solar PV, backup generators, and BESS to increase reliability and reduce grid dependence.

Efficiency remained a major topic this year, particularly around the hidden costs associated with poor power factor and harmonics. We discussed the industry-wide shift toward Static VAR Generators (SVGs) and why they offer faster, more precise correction than traditional capacitor banks.
Regular Harmonic Analysis also proved essential as more businesses adopt non-linear loads and automation technologies, helping prevent equipment issues and maintain compliance.

We also shared insights into what life as a graduate engineer looks like, highlighting the supportive culture and structured mentorship that help our new team members thrive.

We were active throughout the year at various career fairs, industry exhibitions, and safety conferences, giving us the opportunity to share expertise, meet future engineers, and stay connected with emerging trends. These events allowed us to reinforce our role as both industry partners and educators.

Community involvement remained an important part of our company culture. This year, we were proud to sponsor Balbriggan FC and River Valley Rangers Football Club, supporting local sport and youth development.
